I am new to eve. I think it is important that new players can play a meaningfull role in this game.
However, current game mechanics don't allow that.
Recently, my alliance has fielded 300ish Rifters with some noob ship support and tried to take sov from a smaller alliance. They had 100ish frigs and engaged us, everything went well for us. But then suddenly 30ish Hurricanes warped on grid and started to pop our rifters. Finally, we had to withdraw simply because our enemy was able to field Hurricanes.
Obviously, this game is broken! Hurricanes are a IWIN button in such battles. We can't do **** about it. Such game mechanics prevent small alliances from taking space.
Please like this post so that CCP finally becomes aware of this issue!!!
P.S: I also would like to run for CSM next year and will adress this issue there if I win. |

CSM Minutes and CCP comments indicate that T1 Frigates and Cruisers are getting a buff. CCP has said that to many players are skipping over Frigates and cruisers for BC Hulls.
So despite being able to handle the situation the OP describes they will be a able to do so even better in the future.

They had scimitars with tracking links on field. And as i said, we are all new palyers, we neither have the money nor the SP to fit this ewar stuff. |

No dude, as I said.. I am a member of a small alliance and we get blapped all the time by those overpowered iwin buttons only players with better skills can fly, the Hurricanes. |
